Bach to Rock Music School Celebrates Grand Opening of New School in River Edge, N.J.

Bach to Rock River Edge Grand Opening

Bach to Rock, America’s music school for students of all ages, proudly announces it is opening a new school in River Edge, New Jersey. The community is invited to the free grand opening on Saturday, November 11, from Noon – 3:00 p.m. at 915 Kinderkamack Road, River Edge, N.J., 07661.  Joining the festivities will be River Edge Mayor, Thomas R. Papaleo. A ribbon-cutting will be held at 2:00 p.m. Attendees can participate in tours and information sessions, check out the recording studio, and enjoy performances. A special feature of the school, and unique to the area, is Bach to Rock’s Beat Refinery® DJ lessons, which teach students how to master the turntables through practical and artistic training. Instructor and DJ Daniel Renkas III will be spinning tunes to showcase the techniques and lessons available to help students become mix-masters.

“We are thrilled to be opening our newest school in River Edge, New Jersey. It is a wonderful community in the heart of Bergen County, and we are excited to introduce the Bach to Rock approach to music education to families here. Our innovative curriculum gets students playing the music they love from day one, and then teams them up with other students as they progress. We not only help students define their musical talents, but we help them build confidence, make new friends and have fun at the same time,” said Brian Gross, president of Bach to Rock. The school will serve students from (but not limited to) River Edge, Oradell, Haworth, New Milford, Dumont, Bergenfield, Emerson, Hackensack, Demarest and Maywood.

Local residents, and new Bach to Rock franchisees Gregg and Lorena Evans own the River Edge school.  The couple is eager to make an impact with music in their community. “Our daughter took music lessons when she was younger and loved being in a band. Our dream in opening our Bach to Rock school is to create a place for kids to explore their love of music, build friendships and watch them grow in confidence and thrive,” said Lorena Evans.  “Music has so many benefits,” added Gregg. “Participating in a band was a valuable experience that not only helped me grow as a musician, but also allowed me to refine skills that have stayed with me throughout my life.”

Bach to Rock River Edge offers programs for students of all ages including: individual and group lessons in piano, voice, guitar, drums and more; “Rock City” for preschoolers and “Rock and Roll” for toddlers; beginning piano “Kids n Keys” for children in grades K-2; and summer camps and birthday parties. Plus, students can get involved in a glee club or rock band.  The school features Bach to Rock’s Beat Refinery® DJ lessons, where new DJs can learn basics, like how to operate turntables and successfully match beats, while more experienced DJs can hone mixing, scratching, and beat-making skills.
